ABOUT YOUR HOST,

I have either been a business owner or manager in a corporation for close to 40 years. I have bought two small businesses that were either about to fail or had been closed for over 6 months.  It took me from 90-120 days to turn the first business around and was able to sell it for a profit.  The second business took a little longer.  It took me 4 years to get that business operating in the black strong enough to entice interested parties to make a healthy offer to sell that business.  

After I sold the second business I decided to enter the corporate world.  I started out as a salesman, was promoted as Sales Manager, then to Sales & Marketing Manager until I was promoted to a Vice-President to be groomed for the President & CEO position when the current President decided to retire. Upon his retirement, I was promoted to President & CEO of the corporation. 

My charge was to turn this business around as it had been limping along with slow profit gains and low sales.  In a little over 3 years the business showed a large gain in sales and a strong profit.  The board decided to sell it to the highest offer.  I then became the President & CEO of the new company the board of directors instructed me to do what ever was necessary to make the business so financially attractive that competitors would be interested in buy it out.  In just under 3 years, I was able to accomplish the goals set out by the board of directors and they were able to sell the company, in whole, for a handsome profit.
